Obedience: The Promise Land or the Desert

Have you ever been faced with a choice that you felt was a turning point in your life? Further more, that decision could leave you in the desert for forty years. So how does one make such a choice?

Proverbs 20:18
Make plans by seeking advice.

Hebrews 11

1. Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us the assurance about things we cannot see. 2. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.

8. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith-for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

When you don't know what to do and your own wisdom fails ask and it will be given unto you. Don't lean on your own understanding but in all decisions trust in the lord and he will make your path straight. The Bible says it is impossible to please god without faith. So if you want to please God with your life and the choices you make you MUST have faith that he has everything under control. To put this simply, When you come to a split in the road and you have to choose a direction STOP. Ask God and those who walk in his ways for guidance, pray, and have faith in God to be your provider.

Making the tough choices
1. Ask God
2. Ask People Close To God
3. Live By Faith
